I am pretty sure the gear shift is cable connected so there may have been some stretch in the cables. I have no idea how to adjust them but I wouldn't think the gearbox has suffered unless it is low on oil. At 6 months old Honda should sort it for free.
fluid lever should be full if it is / smell the fluid , is it smell burnt if not you may have a bad axle with 1 axle broke the car will not move .check the half axles called cv joints transmission apply's power to the tire that spins always so if 1 is broke it will spin and do nothing / doesnt move . it might not even be the transmission . good luck
IT sounds like your reverse gear is going out, or that you need to have filter replaced my best advise is have your transmission checked out by a transmission shop as soon as possible.
if you drive the car with the shifter in d1 and while driving down the road move the shifter to up shift the foward gears individually if the rpms drop every time you up shift you know your trans shifted if this allows you to go through all gears you have an ecu problem if the car still doesnt shift you have a trans problem and would need to take the car to a transmission shop
Sounds like the car is just slipping out of gear. Keep your hand on the shifter when you back up next time. See if you can feel the shifter move when the car comes out of gear. If the shifter moves up when it happens keep pressure on the shifter holding it back like you dont want it to move forward. And of course if the shifter moves back when it comes out of gear, put forward pressure on the shifter so it doesnt slip out. This might work for now but but i know i wouldnt want to spen 700 for that ****. Let me know how it goes.
