open unit look for dirt and debris. (labels fell of, cracked up CD parts)
look and remove this junk.

start by checking to see if you have power and ground at the coil connection look for chewed wire rodents are known to chew on toyota wire harness due to what they are made of

if this vehicle has the 2.4 ltr i has a chain,not a belt

Look for a missing bolt around frame

take off brake caliper, take off your brake pads. check the sliders. sliders are on the side of the bracket. see if they are moving freely in and out. im pretty sure they are seized. that's why your pedal is soft and sinks down really fast when applied.

If you are referring to the vehicle having a "Timing Belt", no, it does not have one.
The 2002 Camry 4 cylinder has a Timing CHAIN, and does not need to be replaced.
