You might want to get it scanned with a dependable Scanner, check to see if LOCK UP SOLENIOD, which is for the torque converter, is staying activated...if so it will have to be replaced. First thing you MUST do is have it SCANNED for DTC

Why when i push in clutch on 99 dogde ram it dies

But it doesn't die if you quickly shift into neutral and let it run in neutral?

If it runs in neutral but then dies when you put in the clutch, it is then a problem about the electrical/processor, because nothing mechanical changes that could affect the engine like adding load.

Stuck in low gear won't go in to hi gear

Just a suggestion...if you are talking about the two speed transfer case, the vehicle must be running and in neutral to switch between gear ranges. Neutral, running, foot on braks and then try switching gear ranges, Hope this is the answer you are looking for. If not, explain more what you are seeking.

Where is the neutral safety switch on a 96 camero

The park/neutral position switch prevents the car from being started when the transmission is in any gear other than Park or Neutral.. When the transmission is in Reverse (with the engine running), the switch completes the back-up light circuit, illuminating the back-up lights.

Fig. 1: After removing the console, you can access the park/neutral position switch.

Hope help with this (remember rated this post).
