Find where the ground wire for that left taillight grounds to the body remove the screw and clean that ground, otherwise if the taillight assembly uses a printed circuit could be a break in the printing, replace the whole assembly if thats whats going on.

A test light checking each connector would be faster and easier to do. Maybe somebody may have a illustration for you but by far a simple test light is all you need with a helper turning on the different lights as you check them out and writing all your findings down

1998 montero sport. Tail lights and dash lights do not work. Brake lights work, and dash lights flash with right turn signal. What is going on?

Your tail lights and brake lights are on a separate electrical circuit mainly because your brake lights need to be activated by the brake switch in your brake petal. Check the voltage regulation circuit in your dash light circuit to see what is faulty.

The Dashboard lights and the taillights are out on my 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. However, the cars runs.

Tail lights could be bulbs, however, if your dash lights are out , you'll want to check all fuses first. If that's not it, you'll have to look at the wiring to see if it has any breaks in it or if any wires are severed or burnt in half.

All lights work including left and right turn signal. However, the break lights do not come on when you push the brake peddle. It is a 5 speed manual trans.

Check under the dash, on the brake peddle bracket for the switch. It most likely has loosened from the nut holder.

My brake lights do not work on my 1991 Mitsubishi Montero

My suspicion is brake light switch has gone bad. It's located just above brake pedal below dash. (small plastic switch with a couple of wires - pretty simple fix)

A 1991 mitsubishi montero , recent dead battey and no park lights

Change or recharge the battery. Repair any exposed wires (insulation broken or worn off) on wires in affected circuit that may be shorting out and drawing current from the battery.
