I own a 1994 Ford E350, Falcon 190 Camper Van (camper by InterVec, chassis by Ford). Just recently I returned from the transmission shop (started from cold) and drove it to a gas station about 15 miles. The engine was hot, I turned it off and fueled the vehicle. When I tried to start it it would not start. No noise of any kind, absolutely nothing. When the vehicle cooled down (about an hour and a half later) it started). What is the problem?

Click on the link. I tried to get all on the same page, hope you can read it? It's for the starter motor circuit. You need to test when problem is ongoing.
Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. I don't know liter size of engine, whether it is diesel or gasoline? The diagram is for 5.8L gas engine.
Any testing at starter motor make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set. Two voltage circuits at starter motor, one comes from the battery, hot all the time. The other circuit goes hot when starter relay is energized. Check the fuses for voltage in the diagram. The starter motor usually grounds through engine block.
Unless you can do some testing, I don't know how to help?

I suspect the fuel pump has stopped working, check the fuel pressure or listen to the noise it makes by taking off the gas cap and listening for a humming noise when the key is turned on, this will stop after a few seconds.

sound like you have a bad senser. it would be a good i dear to have it scanded. i would check the fuel presher. you may have got a bad fuel pump

If you went 1k miles since that same issue occurred I would look at the transmission. A faulty torque converter, clogged fuel filter, or a clogged CAT can cause a delay in the shifting but it would happen right away not 1k miles later.

I have a 1989 E350 that had the same problem. I finally found that I had corroded connectors under the hood. There was a group of 5 connectors behind the air cleaner housing under the hood. Two of them had hot wires that feed the computer and the injectors. Repaird these and the van starts right up. Hope this helps.
