Unknown part/removal/re-instalation??? I have a 2004 durango 5.7 hemi. I am replacing the short block. While transfering parts from the old engine to the new one i came across 4 "items" located under the intake manifold, they are plastic and have nothing attached to them. What are they and how do I remove/re-install them?

These items are plugs to blank off where mds solenoids would be if your hemi had the multi-displacement system(mds)..you may break them taking them out..check with dodge dealer to see if new ones available

I need to know, before I ask Good evening, how many oxygen sensors does my 2004 Dodge Durango Limited Edition w/hemi 8 cyclinder 4wd 5.7 engine

2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi has 4 oxygen sensors. Each bank has an upstream that's the newer style that controls more of the fuel trim than the previous type. The other 2 downstream sensors are for reading the after-cat A/F ratio and determining catalytic efficiency as well.

Where is the EGR Valve on a 2004 Dodge Durango Limited, V8, 5.7L Hemi? Is a hard operation to replace?

Have not replaced the EGR on my 04 Durango as of yet, but if you look into the the passenger side front fenderwell you will see part of it. Usually 2-4 bolts and the harness connector are all that is required.

Chrysler EGR valves are not known for their reliability.

What is the firing order for a 2004 dodge durango

The firing order is a sequence of ignition time when the engine cylinders deliver their power-strokes starting with the number-one cylinder. If this sequence is faulty or arranged disorderly, the engine may not start at all, and if it does start, it may does so hesitatingly, or not run enough well to enable it to drive-or simply lacks the power to move. A waste of gas, and unecessary tear and wear on the engine and its critical components ultimately result. Once the firing oder is correc and in proper sequence, the engine should starts easily and promtly, running as quietly as posiible.

For Dodge 2004 Durango firing-order:
All 6-cylinder K 3.7L MFI SOHC distributorless ignition:
1-6-5-4-3-2 (front 2-4-6) (back 1-3-5)

All 8-cylinder N 4.7L SFI (including HEMI 4-WD)
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 (front 2.4.6.8) (back 1.3.5.7)
(distributorless ignition)
It is also a good thing to try and compare the thread lenghts of the old spark-plugs being replaced with the new.

How to change a serpentine belt 2004 5.7 hemi? I just need to know where to look for a belt tensioner, etc. do i have to remove shrouds and covers?

run the engine and watch the belt pulleys, the one that jitters and moves up and down is the tensioner pulley, it is an arm with a pulley on the end, it is a very short arm.
