I have changed the crank sensor, cam position sensor, coil condenser pack, ignition module, key module in steering column, plugs, plug wires, is getting fuel to the injector rail, fuel pump is fine along with filter. What else is there? Do a diagnostics on it and no codes come up. Please help me!
I have this same NO START problem...
Began with tach giving readings not exceding 1200 rpm with strange 4000 + spikes.. Cruse control would not turn on or off at times and indicator light would only work sometimes..Had several episodes of excessive cranking to get it to start.. Stalling out while driving and even at freeway speeds.. Pulling the negative cable for 10 min. allowed it to start although with lots of cranking and put it in limp mode which required another computer reset to get out of.. Had thrown error codes related to cam and crank sensors which were replaced along with coil and manifold temp sensors.. Had the 9 volt power to sensors when key was on but the check engine light does not stay on with all the other idiot lights..
I wish people who respond would read the post first..
Original post states,
Cranks,No spark,No fuel pump run, changed some sensors ect...
If it cranks it ain't the neutral safety switch, starter or battery!! WAKE UP!!
Seems the computer is not turning on the coil, injectors or fuel pump for a reason.. Find that reason and you will find the solution to the problem.. Seeing as that the computers logic states are a dealer secrete the poster as I have changed many parts in blind hope that it will fix the problem.. Relays, sensors and ecu computer.. Did a visual check of all harness potential wear spots like where it crosses over the power rack..
Could it be in the wiring harness inside the dash??
Could it be a bad ground??
Can an alternator that has failed cause the computer not to start??
Can a bad oil pressure sensor cause the computer not to start??
Can signal loss from the TCU or BCU to the ECU cause this??
Is there an undocumented kill if the ECU thinks it was in an accident??
I can ground the relay line from the ECU and the fuel pump runs and pressures up and the other relays turn on as well..
This crank but no start problem seems to be common with a lot of 1994-2001 Dodge and Chrysler owners.. All these systems have become interlaced with undocumented safety features that baffle the DIYer..If you have seen this and have fixed it PLEASE RESPOND!!!!
do a self diagnosis on the car if it flashes a 1 1 code that means the crank position sensor is gone, if you dont have power to your windows or HVAC controls it means the ignition switch at the top of the column is gone i just fixed the same problem on my 94
From Roadrunner0
Turned out to be rotted out wires in the harness under the winshield washer bottle right where it makes a 90 at the bottom.. The power wires are spliced down there like a time bomb waiting to go off.. Another trouble area for the harness is where it crosses the power steering rack behind the motor..

Well first i can tell you to check your grounds from the battery for corrosion , it can be inside the cables also. next check out all the work you just did, make sure all electrical connections are tight, plug wires etc, any thing you touched.do the lights work fine when you try to turn it over? It could be alternator. if it turns the crank then it has to be an electrical problem. i will give you more ideas when they come to me.
well , when you checked for spark did you check each coil pack ?
did you check each spark plug or at least one from each coil pack?
what about oil level ther eis an oil pressur esending unit, The oil pressure switch and sending unit is located directly above the oil filter and next to the starter motor on the lower side of the engine block. i would at least test its resistance. does an oil light flash int the dash when starting
The starting system consists of an ignition switch, neutral safety switch, wiring harness, starter relay, battery, and a starter motor with an solenoid.
if the coils are good i would go back to the rebuilt starter.i never have trusted rebuilt starters. if i think of something else ill let you know.

I have found that a bad flexplate can cause the crank sensor to interpret the wrong timing, as well as a bad cam gear, or mechanical timing may be off. All can cause a no-start condition.
Problem is that it says dodge on the front and back-got one myself.

No there was no spark to the plugs last time I checked.
I have also had the starter rebuilt and new battery.
Turns over really good just does not seem to be getting spark to fire.
Thank you yes the lights and everything work good. I will check all the connections of the stuff I did
Everything seems tight, also checked the auto shutdown relay and that isn"t it either....
Yep checked the plugs and wires and condenser pack yesterday. No spark!! Oil pressure is good, the light comes on but does not flash, same as it always was one when starting. Will check out the oil pressure switch and sending unit next. Thank you
i have the exact same problem and im pulling my hair out was just wandering if you got your car fixed and what was wrong with it
is there spark at the plugs?
