Evap leak in the fuel system. Price? Wil it cause other problems?

The most common cause of this is a loose fuel filler cap. It's possible that it's damaged and a new cap may solve your problem. Either way, an evap leak will not cause any problems other than making it difficult to pass an emissions test if they have one where you live.

I'm looking to get a 2005 volvo S60 2.5 with 61K miles. The car drives very well and it feels comfortable. But when I go from reverse to drive there is a hesitation and a hard engagement of the gear into...

This is a software problem but there are a few other components involved as well. Most dealers will try and convince you that the transmission have to be replaced which is not the solution.
I have been trying to solve a similar problem with my car and I found the mass airflow sensor can cause this. I recently found that the accelerator pedal is sending confusing signals to the ecu and this also causes problems like this.
I have a training procedure from Aison Warner that can also solve this problem. Contact me at wvdm@global.co.za if you have not solved the problem and I can give you some more information

When i turn on the blower fan i have no power to the blower motor. all the fuses and relays check good. would the blower motor resistor be causing the problem?

Was it gradual? (did you have some fan levels unoperational before it quit) if yes, chances are that the motor resistor block if bad. not expensive around $10 at Napa.

If it was not gradual, the resistor block could be in cause anyway being a frequent problem. Maybe you will be welling to pay $10 and buy a new one before to go further in problem solving

If it doesn't solve the problem, access to the blower motor and make a jump test maybe 50% of chances that the unit is bad

Hope it will help
