Radio code not working

Anti theft system cannot be canceled or bypassed. There will be a reason the system has turned on. Start with the silly stuff first. Is it the correct key for that vehicle? Is the vehicle's battery fully charged? Change the battery in the key fob. This often causes a problem because the vehicle's security system isn't getting signal from the key so does not turn off the anti theft.

this helped me on my maxima ...but had to destroy factory radio to get look at the back side of mother board .....dont try it..worked for me tho

You need to pull the radio from the dash and get the serial number of the radio which is on a label at the back.

Mercedes do not make stereos themselves but use various different manufacturers for their radios.

Once you have all the information from the label post it up and we can see if your radio is one that can be decoded by serial.

Hello! I can not see any reason the AC would quit working after a battery disconnect...Lets start by checking fuses: 7 (16A) and D (16A)...Also, The refrigerant high pressure switch (left front of engine compartment) may be open...Check the Brown/White wire in its plug for a ground when AC is on...

Call the Mercedes I-800 number on the sun visor. Give them the Vin number and they will give you a 4 digit number assigned to that Vin. Input code in radio unit through (1-0 radio buttons)... Press "seek". Simple

you need the security code(4 digits). It should be in the black owners manual case. After you enter it press the * symbol. You can also go to the dealer and show proof of ownership and they can get it with the v.i.n. assuming it is the original radio. You can also remove the radio and give them the serial number and they can get you a code if it has been replaced. If the security code is the problem when the radio is turned on it will say code. If it shows a station number and there is no sound try replacing the fadar switch in the console that is another common failure. good luck

This works for our Z3 radio:

example, code 3749. To set the first digit (in this case, 3), press button 1 three times - the digit 3 should appear in the display. To set digit 2, press button 2 seven times and 7 should appear in the display. To set digit 3, use button 3 (in this case, pressed 4 times) and to set digit 4, use button 4 and press 9 times. When all 4 digits are correctly displayed, press the set button, which is the furthest button on the right and has an arrow pointing to the right. The radio should now work. Good luck, Ian
