My 1993 Isuzu Rodeo stalls at a stop sign it doesn't do it all the time, it's does it sporadically. It seems when I drive it in third gear it happens less frequently.
Which engine..
stalls only at idle. but does fast right foot save it/?????????????
the same answer for gas engines.
there 3 causes in physics, called basics in SCHOOL.
1 to 10 tests using physics evidence
or 50+ causes,,,,,
and last statistics (engines do what the want, not by me)
guess: top reasons
1:never had tuneup full this decade. wins top honors...
2: EGR stuck open.
and 48 more. wana guess or test.
got tools>/?
ever heard of the 60k miles tuneup,? see all this things there.
in the operators guide?
stalling means this
the ecu tried really hard to prevent the stall.
by upping the idle controls air supply
and failed.
so stalls have 2 causes
1: it misfires so bad (or starves of fuel)
2: or idle controls are dead (or just useless)
keep mind that #1 can cause #2
misfire has vast causes, sure over 50
but a tuneup, fixes most.
and most folks cant seem to do that , for whatever reasons...

You can do a compression test, compression should be at least around 128 psi with no more then 20 psi difference between cylinders.
