Thank you so very much for the quick response checked the fuel filter the two lines are different sizes and can only go in one direction however I will be checking the connection on the fuel pump later on this evening as I am guessing that will be the culprit and I will let you know as soon as I do that, once again thank you for your quick resonse and insight to the problem.

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.

Not getting fuel to the engine on my 2001 chevy blazer

you must be getting fuel, remove fuel line @ engine, have someone crank the engine, then you'll know, NO SMOKING ! if no fuel, check fuel pump relay ! check all fuses . pump should hum for only 2 seconds, when key is turned to ON position. to prime the system. always check all ground wires to fuel system. important ! good luck

Did you verify that you have proper fuel pressure? Should be around 60 PSI. If pressure is low, ensure that fuel filter is not installed backwards. If fuel pressure is OK, check your injectors with a noid light to see if you have injector pulse. If the truck starts with gas poured into the intake, it is NOT the spark plugs causing the problem. You are chasing a fuel delivery issue, NOT a spark issue.

Assuming you have everything reinstalled correctly and the fuel pump was your problem to start with, try disconnecting the battery for at least 15 minutes to reset the computer. This worked on my 1996 Blazer.

This is beginning to look like a pervasive problem not unique to your vehicle. It would be interesting to learn exactly what failed inside the pumps you changed. I don't have any good answers yet but I would make a direct ground connection from the battery to the pump harness to eliminate any possibility of overheating of the pump motor from a poor ground, and see if it helps any. Also check all pump connections before you install it.

Chevy Blazer won't start; fuel pump needs replacing

Before spending several hundres on a fuel pump, I recommend doing a fuel pressure test. You can get a test gauge pretty cheap at a parts store. If the pump is junk, you raise the truck, lower the fuel tank, unplug the electronics from the pump at the top of the tank, then with a hammer and flat head scrwedrive, gently tap the lock ring in a counter clockwise direction until it pops off. Pull the pump assembly out and install the new one. Reverse directions to install.
