Question about 1996 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
My check engine oil level light comes on but only when after i've been driving on the interstate for about 20 minutes or more. I have a 2002 Mercedes Benz C320. What could be causing this to happen and why does the light not stay on? I just had an oil change.
Hi, this will happen when the oil sending unit(module) is malfunctioning. This a sensor that reads the information and sends the alerts which initiates the lights actions. Replacing this sending unit(module) will fix this issue. There is a more sever issue that may not be the case but, there is a chance. The oil pump itself may be malfunctioning. this could also trigger this alert as well. I suspect the sending unit may be malfunctioning.
please rate and have a great day...
