It doesn't blow cold air? Doesn't come on at all? What's the problem? If it doesn't blow cold after a charge, it leaks. Either on the compressor or in a line or both. To start at the dealer, a compressor is about $1200. That's what they told me. I have two leaks. You can buy remanufactured compressor on ebay for under $200. Or find a good shop (polar bear around here) with reasonable prices and have them do it for something in between.

If it no air is moved at all by your climate control system, the blower motor could be fried, the switch may have gone bad or a fuse is blown perhaps. If it moves air, but not cold air, recharge it and see if it stays cold. If so, great! If not, find the leak.

Why isnt cold air blowing in front cab of 2002 chevy tahoe

This could be one of two things. The air conditioner is low on freon or has a compressor problem OR the blend door on the heating unit is not moving.

Air conditioner

Does the compressor run ? If yes, you would need to know what the high and low pressure readings are to proceed.
It could be a blend door problem under the dash, or something else.

What causes my 2001 chevy tahoe to have ice on the air conditioner lines

It's actually normal for condensation to turn to ice on the a/c components at certain times. This is a good thing that the a/c is getting that cold. Some systems don't get that cold. It can become a problem if the evaporator gets clogged with ice, though, and air cannot circulate through the louvers.

Could be overcharged with freon or the high pressure or low pressure switch isn't working right.

2001 Chevy Tahoe AC stopped working

There is a possibility that the A/C compressor clutch burned up or got disconnected. Try investigating the wiring for the clutch.

2004 Chevy Z71 - air conditioner onand suddenly the system puts out hot air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side. Can be corrected by turning the engine off and restarting.

adjust the passengers side up to hot then back down to cold,if this does not work, the actuator motor that controls this will have to be replaced

1996 Chevy Tahoe air conditioning not blowing cold air

That "thing" is part of the compressor clutch. When it’s spinning the clutch is engaged, when it stops the compressor is off. If it’s constantly cycling, you probably don’t have enough freon in the system. But remember, however the gas escaped before, it will escape again, unless you fix the leak.

Air conditioner problems

If the air blows from the derfost and the footwells, then their may be a vacuum leak. Check under the hood there should be a vacuum line that goes from the firewall to a vacuum port on the intake manifold. Alot of times the line get corroded and breaks off.(If you find the pcv hose you are in the right direction)
