Changed the sparkplugs on my 07 dodge durango 4,7 flex fuel motor. cause of a small skip an lack of power when going up an incline on flat no problem. the truck had the champion rc12mmc4. a 2.50 plug i put in ac 41-806 6,00 minor skip gone. but when going up hill it loses power. i also tried some injector cleaner. it seems a little better at times. then the next time it go,s back an have to step on it more not a little either. open to suggestions

When does the spark plugs needs to be change

Usually you know when you need sparkplugs when it starts to miss. That is it runs smooth then kinda skips, runs smooth, then skips. Spark plugs will not cause your engine to cut off completly. Could be a coil problem or a fuel system problem. I would check fuel filter or fuel pump.

Lack of power, slight ticking

Check spark plugs, coils and spark plug leads. Check oil level, fuel filter and airfilters.

I have a 1999 dodge durango 4x4 SLT 5.9 L. It will turn but not crank. I've replaced the coil pack, spark plugs, rotor button, distrubutor cap,and sparkplug cables. I've listened to the fuel pump...

Let's get The terminology right to start out with. If the engine turns it cranks so you have a crank no start. Am I correct? Make sure you have spark. If no spark check your crank sensor located in the bell housing (transmission). Make sure you got fuel injector pulse, fuel pressure.

Engines skipping...has new plugs...regular maintenance...189,000 miles...timing chain has been changed(40,000 miles ago) regular fuel system cleaner...

It is most likely the camshaft postion sensor, it is located next to your oil filter and is easy to replace. I actually just changed this part on my friends car today and it solved the problem

Fuel under plugs

Does it run?? Does it grind when starting?? Which part of the plug do you mean, above the gas tight seal where you screw the plug into the head?? If so, the threads on Cylinder head are shot and not giving a good seal allowing fuel to escape. Have you fitted the correct rating of plugs?? Grinding?? Are the sparkplugs the correct reach (Length)?? I`m just geussing with the information that you`ve given us. Ian
