Dashboard gauges dont work after crossing jumper cables.

1991 Dodge Caravan, we jumped the van in the dark with no flash light. After correctly placing the cables on the right posts, it started and runs fine, just no gauges work. Lights and everything else works fine.

1990 dodge caravan Le,the dash gauges all turn off after 10 sec of starting the van

ALWAYS check the body grounds first. Ground to the dash gages could be faulty, dirty, or just not tight enough to make a good connection.

Haywire gauges

The instrument cluster in this van is really a computer display and it has malfunctioned. This is a common complaint on this van and you must remove the cluster and have it rebuilt to cure the problems. Check the WEB for repair sources. They can also provide complete instructions on removal free of charge.
