Mom has a 2000 eclipse gt. She has locked the keys in the car on Thursday. She was able to get into the car it ran fine. Then she started it Friday morning and her lights where flashing and her car would just die every time she slowed down. She tried using the key on the doors, took the battery cables off and her lights stopped flashing. But every time you slow down for a corner or just let off the gas the car dies. This all started after she locked her keys in her car. Please help we cant figure out what's going on. Its a manual v6 with the 3.0 Thank you for your time.
Use the KEY (not the REMOTE) to UNlock the driver's door or the trunk. Then use the key to START the car, then shut it off. Finally, get out and LOCK the car using the mechanical KEY. That should clear the security system codes caused by disconnecting the battery!

thats one of two things i had the same problem with my 94 honda civic and my 00 mitsubishi eclipse both were not cheep to fix saddly for you man on my civic my tranny was catching and it would stall the motor out idk if that was the complete problem because i sold the car the same day i found out and i do not talk to the guy i sold it too but i seen it running fine a week or so later and on my eclipse it was my ecu for some reason there was a defect or some wires touching or something like that they replaced all my wires and my ecu and it ran fine till i sold it for my 2007 mitsubishi eclipse and gladdly i have not had any problems scince i bought the car

Hi, my name is adam. By the way your descrpion says, you are having difficulty with the door ajar. My solution is to take a pink eraser and clean off the sensors on each door. Sometimes road dirt and grime get in there and screw it up. Thank you.

Needs tuning. Also replace fuel and air filters. If that doesn't help then it may need piston ring replacement.

sound like bad battery cables.replace them.the positive battery cable is old and have a lot of resistance not allowing power to the alternator to charge battery.if battery cable good check alternator connector wires.make sure they are not damage also check alternator fuse and fuse link.turn off radio before removing battery wires so you wont lose radio code.

PO1400 is not a common code. PO140 however is. PO140 is a oxygen sensor problem, it refers to bank 1 sensor 2 having no activity. This could cause your eclipse to not hold a good idle and possibly to stall. I would have a different mechanic check the car before you spend quite a bit of cash on an ECM as they can cost upwards of 800 dollars
