What i did to be able to refill my 4L30E automatic in my '99 Isuzu Rodeo LS 2wheel drive's Trany = at any auto parts store (Auto Zone is literally walking distance from my front porch in Broussard ,LA.) They have something cheap called "Non-Fouler" that are intended to screw onto the ends of a spark plug to help deter an oil burning engine from Fouling out a spark plug in a heavy oil burning motor.,"So i just used 1 of these "Non-Foul" things which actualy will loosely screw into the fill hole on these transmissions,*But what i did was chop off the part that a wrench would fit onto on it so i was able to push a long hose up over & onto this Non Fouler thing,,you can buy heater core black hose for this trick homade FILL for filling your transmission and its sold by the foot (around a Buck per foot average price) at most any auto parts store. so walk this heater core size tube onto the non threaded end where you use a Hacksaw or other means to chop off the octagon wrench area of these Non Foulers..and i just found a drill bit to drill open the tiny hole on its threaded end so Dex III flows thru easy...gently screw by hand this Non Fouler up into the Raised hole on your 4L30E transmission pan,,and i got long enough to run out from under and 1/4 ways up the doors bottom where i poked a funnel to hold and Feed the Transmission Fluid in on 1 knee while i glanced down every now and then to Make that task a breeze..cheap rig and due to the Non Fouler's threads are a tiny bit different (don't worry it wont mess up the Transmissions threads due to the Non Foulers are soft threaded and the pan has steel thread,,JUST Hand Tighten barely to keep it from falling out the hole that's raised up higher in the pans bottom-side) so when it gets full enough it seeps out around the loose fit of the smaller threads on the Non Fouler Trick Filler you made. a few bucks for 1 Non Foul Spark Plug Adapter Thing, some time = 2 minutes to cop off its top and easily drill its tiny hole in the end bigger with an old drill bit and 4 foot or so of common heater core hose sold by the foot sure makes it way better than fluid running down both arms under there all annoyed and then the Wife not as mad with you from having to clean out the bathroom Shower or Tub from your hair full of Trany Fluid!
Sure,..one could just buy one of the economy "El Cheapo" crappy hand pump things to do this, but i had a couple of people who'd tried it and they said it really was a joke, and it was cheap..(not Punning on its price along with its continued pop off the darn hose to spew fluid everywhere again and again, "AAaaaaarrrgh!" . but the ashes from the bottom of the fireplace sure will **** it out your concrete after the kitty litter shuffle/twist song & dance is over hahahaa.. those darn fine powder ashes will get the remaining ugly red dye out of HER driveway overnight, my Brothers!..and remember, " He Who Fights/Argues with Wife -will get No Piece at Night!".. That Wise Ole Confucious also stated, " War Never Determine Who Is RIGHT, It Merely Determine Who Is LEFT!",,and Divorce and War sure cost one half of everything too! LOL.
SIMPLE WAY TO ASSURE YOURSELF THAT YOUR Isuzu Transmission -or ANY Electronic controlled Transmission for this Assured easy way to TEST it to SEE if it has actual Clutch or expensive INNER Transmission Components Failling = "*After you start the engine **SET THE PARKING BRAKE** , then be careful while you slip underneith from the drivers side * note the EXHAUST SYSTEM running along side the transmission will surely and immediately burn your cheek or inner forearm to a baseball sized bubble of horrific mind warping pain ( them ALOE VERA PLANTS, when cut in half longways down their pointy green sprouts - tape that jelly side against the OUCH ..and Preperation H aint just for Burning BungHoles either,,works very well on ropeburn, and such other well learned No No's we often learn to never do again too!...So Carefully slide under from the drivers side watching out for AAARRRGH-HOT HOT.. and be sure to set the EMERGENCY BRAKE so our hard head is not tested by the TIRE rolling over it too..LOL- that story comming soon to a FixYa site near you!! hahahahaa...now carefully UNPLUG the fat GEAR SELECTOR MODULE that the shifter cable arm moves..unplug the harness connector to it...and go drive to see if it will work in all gears by starting out in LOW or 1, then shift manually to 2,3,& 4 and R i guess too..all gears will manually work this way if the drums and seals and clutches are still operable...easy test to get her to shift past 2nd when it shifts 1,2, neutral - instead of 3rd and fourth...some peaceful easy comfort there folks! or the assurance it really is burnt helps too...for the pass out price quoted..at least you know its good or burnt for sure this way my friends!.
