2005 Kia Sportage - power to the radio, headlight, etc. cuts in and out causing lights to dim and radio to cut out then come back on. 6-disk CD changer stopped working recently. Key Fob is dead so I use actual key in door to lock/unlock. Sometimes after I unlock the car, it re-locks itself immediately before I can get door open (I know if you wait a while it'll re-lock, that's not what's happening here). Other day stopped at red light doors locked/unlocked themselves several times and then the engine shut off but radio stayed on. Battery is new. My car is possessed... help!

They all do it, its part of the security system that all the doors lock after a minute or so from unlocking if you don't open the driver's door.
It prevents you from accidentally unlocking the car door while walking away and clicking the remote in your pocket, the car re-locks on its own.
If you open with the remote then open only the rear door, the other doors all lock and when you close the rear the alarm goes off.
What fun we have!

I has a similar problem and I just took the battery out of my remote. I think there is a problem/ short in the remote. It's as if the button is being pressed when it is not. I will use my spare one in the mean time. It was driving me crazy becuase I was driving long distance at the time and when I removed the battery it stopped. I hope this works for you!

You should be able to just unlock the door with the key, and even if the alarm is still going of try to start it the key should override the alarm.
