Driving home from work last night (hot day 100 degrees) the battery light came on, but car kept running. drove today, light on but started no problem. approaching home the radio shut off on its own. and now when I step on brake the message center says "check Traction Control", the traction control off light and the ABS light also come on - only while brake is pressed (off when not on brake). I pull into the driveway and now I cant roll up the windows, but car is still running. HELP PLEASE.

I had this exact same problem, on a older bronco II. You need to get the ABS computer reset. You can either take it in or buy a computer your self. There are even packages that will allow you to use your own computer and just hook the car up to your lap top or desk top if you can get a cable long enough.
I never had mine done, because back then the computers were so expensive. I never caused a problem because it was only in the braking system. Now they are pretty cheap and there are a lot of other cool things you can do with them. You can reduce your gas requirements and set it for pulling, racing, and fuel efficency on the fly now. Just at the touch of a button.

SOURCE: car won't start says check traction control
the car should still start even with somthing wrong with the traction control. sounds like you have a dead battery. i would check it first. and if battery is dead charge it and start the car then take it to your local advance auto and have the altinator checked thay do it for free. if a charged battery dont start the car then you may have a bad starter. again the traction control light will not keep the car fromk starting

no it does not; this is a massive short in the electrical system and, requires the services of an auto electrician like myself.
take the car in to an ASE certified auto electrical shop and, stop spending money on temporary fixes
the technicians can read the schematics and, fix your car right

ABS and traction control really are only for panic stops and if your tires slip on wet surface's and yes each tire has a sensor on it. However if the brake light comes on this has nothing to do with the ABS or traction control lights. It's not a parking brake light. This light tells you, you have a serious brake problem.

it might be a loose abs cable behind one of the brakes?
