First question , is it a FACTORY alarm or an AFTER MARKET alarm. Regardless, I haven't met an alarm yet, that protects the radio.. My guess is, that if it is an aft/market alarm, inadvertantly placed the system in the "VALET" where it doesn'i work. Let me know if you disconnected battery, and are there alarm toggle switches.

I have a Seat Altea and need to know if I will encounter any CPU or alarm problems if I remove the factory fitted Blaupunkt radio entirely from the vehicle?

Radio's don't affect the security. But if installing another factory radio, it has to be programmed to your car. After market radios don't. If using an after market one, you will loose some chimes, like door, key, lights, ect...

ALARM AND RADIO

You need a install kit with an anti theft bypass since the alarm is tied into the factory stereo when it was removed you literally removed a circuit from the alarm but i would start by checking all fuses since occasionally the alarm will still function

My alarm system doors locks dont work consistently. some lock some dont. my radio stays on all the time and windshield wipers wont work. it sonds like sizzleing under my dash

Was there an alarm system or after market radio installed recently? I would diconnect the battery before anymore damage happens. And take the part that was recently installed. and get back behind the Radio/or follw the alarm wires and your gonna find alot of burnt wires. You will find the arcing wires. replace them . Have you noticed anything not working? If you have ? 10 to 1 that's the problem.
Please leave a good feedback for me.
Thanks

I changed my batt in radio stoped working.... what do i do... dodge are very good cars

there are normally 2 fuses in these radios, 1 for the memory and read-out and 1 for the audio output, check the owners manual for their locations, normally a factory installed radio would have fuses located in or near the fuse panel, after-market installed radios are usually in-line on the radios wiring harness of the radio

Ignition key and alarm problems: starting

Doesn't by opening the hood, that will disarm the alert system? Is it factory installed system? Try removing the fuse for the alarm system (near the system box - probably around the brake light switch). There must be a crossed wire somewhere.

If i get a new cd player/radio for my jetta work if in safe mode?

If you buy another factory radio it'll need the unlock code to work with your factory alarm system. But if you go with an after market radio it'll work just fine, your alarm will just think there's no radio installed.
