Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 2WD
My Dodge will not engage the front driveshaft. it has auto locking hubs and a transfercase shifter on the floor, no buttons. When i shift the transfer case it changes gears from 2h, 4h, N and 4L, but the 4X4 light does not come on on the dash and the front shaft dose not engauge. Any ideas where to start on this one?
Check behind the right side of the front axle and look for 2 vacuum lines to see if they are still connected. also check on driver side just infront of the transfer case and check the vacuum lines to see if they are still connected. usually the problem is the vacuum lines have become caught on something and disconnected themselves.
