Front brakes I have had several issues with my brakes. The front brakes (especially driver side) gets hot and smokes but is not leaking anything. We have bled the brakes, replaced the brakes, replaced hose lines and calipers. Was told it could be master cylinder but with what I have found it does not seem like that. It seems like brake pressure wont release unless the car sits awhile and then is okay for a short distance then acts up again. Today i had to almost floor the gas just to get it up to 40 because it dropped from 55 to about 40 on its own and the rpms sky rocketed. I was also told it could be the abs proportioning valve but from what i have been reading they are for the rear brakes. can someone help me please?

If the proportioning clogs or damaged it can cause brake problems such as yours take pressure readings on all 4 calipers the proportioning valve is just as it says differentiates the pressure front to back also the abs unit itself can cause the same problem also

Testimonial: "thats kinda what we were thinking so we actually unplugged the abs to see if it made a difference and its still messing up. we are gonna flush the brake system and see what that does and plug the abs back in. i do believe the abs unit is a salvage part. its been wrote on with a yellow marking saying 2000 blazer and i know it wouldnt come out stock like that so maybe its already had issues with the abs before we bought it. ive dumped atleast the same amount of money into it as i paid and its costing me like $80 a week in gas to go to and from work which is only about 12 minutes away so its robbing the gas mileage bad"

SOURCE: replaced both front calipers, rotors,

The best way to bleed the brakes is to start with the master cylinder and work your way back. after you are sure all the air is out of the master, got to the rear and open one bleed screw. do not touch the brake pedal ,but let the fluid drain, keeping the master cylinder full, untill the fluid comes out clear, like new. Close that side and go to the other rear wheel and repeat. After the rear is done close all beed screws and pump the brakes at least 10 times .Then bleed the front in a normal fashion. Try to close the bleed screw before the brake pedal hits the floor. If you still have air in brake system then there has to be a leak letting it in. Gravity brake bleeding is the easiest way to remove air in system

Drove my Honda Passport AWD 2002 about 7 miles this morning and I noticed smoke that seemed to be coming from the front wheel on driver side. What could it be?

Wouldn't you suspect a failed wheel hub
bearing assy or brake issue ?

Start taking it apart & sniffing as you go

Have to stop using it as is

Brake booster vacuum leak

Your brakes appear to be dragging i.e. brake pads still contacting the rotor. It could be air in your hydraulic braking system. Have the braking system flushed and bled.

Ford 2004 f250 king ranch v10 6.8 brakes are not working.

In this case, you will need to leak the for wheels, never leak only one or two wheels when adjusting the breaks. If the leaking continues you need to check the conduit for potential damages. If pedal stay soft after checking everything else, check the break fluid unit. The unit has a piston if I'm not wrong. The piston has some parts that are of rubber material which can wear out or get damaged.

I have no front brakes on my 88 Toyota. I've bled

You may have to install brake cylinder kits on the front wheels. The kits come with all you need to replace them. Or it could also be the main cylinder that's leaking.

Sounds like the master cylinder has bailed on you as well. Pedal going to the floor is the common sign that it's bad. To prevent any more aggrevation's, match the part, port for port, size, shape, and mount flange before putting a drop of fluid in the new one. It's a critical part and should obtained from Hyundai. Have it pressure bled, or have the dealer do it. The ABS sometimes requires special equipment to bleed the system.

Drivers side front brake pads sticking, smoking bled allready no help

Sounds like you need new calipers and or the rubber portion of the brake line that goes from the steel brake line to the caliper. This part of the brake line (rubber part) can colapse inside acting as if there is a one way valve in the line keeping pressure on the caliper piston as if the brakes are applied.

Were the calipers check for not sticking, as well as lubed well when re-installed? If it's original flex hoses at calipers, that's also a consideration.

well sounds like its still full of air youll have to gravity bleed it. if you can leave your car on a steep hill overnight with the rear end up then bleed it the do the same make your front end sit high up overnight then bleed it. air bubbles always try to make their way to the highest point
