SOURCE: 2002 toyota highlander transmission

First check your transmission fluid level improper fluid level is the number one cause of trans failure, you need to check it with the vehicle warmed up, on flat ground, i accidently checked mine while it was tilted in my driveway and i got a false reading on the dipstick. The fluid should have a reddish color too it, if it is light brown, its time to get it serviced, if it is dark brown or black and you can feel gritty particles while rubbin it between your fingers, your transmission is toast.

SOURCE: Makes a low roaring noise when you are at crusing speed.

One of the front wheel bearings are bad. Jack it up and see if one is loose, the noise will usually change if you swerve back and forth while driving. Could also be a rear pinion bearing in the rear axle.

SOURCE: steering wheel of my Toyota Corolla LE 2007 vivrates

Hello. A vibration in the steerign wheel indicates an issue with the front tires. They are either out of balance, and would need to be rebalanced, or it is possible (although remotely) that the tire(s) may be compromised (after hitting a pothole), the belts in the tire may be corrupted. What I would suggest is to take the car to a reputable tire place, and get the balance checked. While the tire is on the balancer, the Tech will be able to see if the tire is out-of-round due to possible road damage. Probably just a tire balance problem. Thanks for choosing FixYA for assistance.

Whine from 2005 corolla automatic transmission

Have the tranny serviced with fluid change and filter, if noise it still there it is the torque converter . Have the dealer fix it ,and have it on paper with dealer invoice when it is done. Do all this before warranty expires. IT IS NOT USUAL for any car, Toyota included, to have tranny whine!!!!!

1994 Corolla rattles when idling and at low speeds.

It amazes me that they didn't at least address the rattling noise, seeing how they probably caused it. If it is just a belt, that's an easy fix. Did you stop at another shop & ask for a quick diagnosis?
Could be something as simple as a heat shield , or something. Doesn't hurt to have a second opinion, and shouldn't cost anything, or very little, then go back & tell them what the diagnosis was.

Weak humm when driving over 35kmh.

possibly a wheel bearing or tyre noise from badly worn tyres
while driving in a straight line and noise is present change lanes or shimmy car left and right if noise gets worse or better wheel bearing problem
also if noise gets worse in normal town driving speed and gets less at higher freeway speeds check your wheel bearings
