I own a Maruthi Swift ZXI - Petrol version. After 1 week of gap, I took the car today. It was very smooth as ever for the first 1 km and from there on, the engine started jerking. However, I tried to manage and drove for less than 1/2 km and the jerk started becoming more worst and could able to hear some ting ting noise from the engine. Finally, it happened to try for 2 - 3 times to start the engine. After 2 hours of gap, I tried driving the car again and initially it was very smooth as before and later started jerking, and the same scenario happened once again. I never faced any problem with my car so far, but had low fuel couple of weeks back. Also, changed all the required oils, very recently. Please guide me on the reason for this problem and also the solution, if possible. Thanks..
That whole post can be reduced to
my M13 suzuki engine misfires.,
but Id need to drive it to say so,..,
asking the blind why your car jerks,is near
impossible, ask the living, person in your service shop this and win.
this is usa forum, we are not INDIA
nor do we have "wiki"
:The Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in India in May 2005 with a 1.3-litre petrol engine:"
Gross engine misfiring , petrol engines.
get a tuneup, spark, filters?
m13 engine needs good spark to burn all fuel.
try at least spark plugs, they do not last life of any engine.
btw,
misfire has over 50 causes
in a shop there are 1 to 10 tests
to discover true cause
they dont guess, they test.
or go broke (after doing a tuneup, gee)

Is there a leak in one of the fuel lines? Check the length of the fuel lines from the pump (you may need an extendable mirror to see the top of gas tank) right up to the point where it enters the fuel rail on the engine. Take special note of the junctions and try to do it with the car running and at a slight idle so fuel is pumping. Check next for a smell of too much gasoline along the fuel rail as one of the injectors may be improperly seated and or broken and leaking. Has the service engine check engine light come on at all or come on and gone out. If your o2 sensor(s) go you use more fuel. If they go there should be a code stored in your PCM (computer). You can pull any codes out of that car by finding the connector and jumping it. Also if your air element(filter) or any pipes are clogged in that system up to the throttle body you will use much more fuel.
Let me know how these tests go

I cant say I have ever even seen one of these, but lets start with this; Most vehicles can tolerate quite a lot of moisture (driving in heavy rain) but when it is 'flooded' with water, even garden hose pressure, that water is going to get into places it shouldn't. Your mechanic may may be going down the right path but try this first; remove spark plugs and replace if they have 50k or more miles or any are dark brown to black on the porcelain around center electrode. When you gain access to them and after turning them out about 1.5 turns, blow out water and/or dirt from around them with compressed air, this keeps it from entering plug hole. While you are using air, blow out spark plug wires/boots on both ends. As I first said, I am not familiar with this engine at all so I am not sure if you have a single coil or multiple coils. Blow out any water in any connections to these if possible. Replace boots/plug wires if they show any sign of arcing/excess wear (cracks, tears, brittle, torn) or more than 50k miles. When reassembling use a good quality dielectic silicone grease To help 'weatherproof' them.Make sure you did not damage or dislodge any other hoses/tubing/ect.. when cleaning.Hopethis helps! Please rate me. Thanks!

Just do what they do - spray some WD40 on the hinges, move the doors a little and spray some more. Then make sure all pads are secured to the door. That is all.
