Where is the INPUT Vehicle Speed Sensor on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT 2.4 l engine?

I'm fairly sure it is inside the side cover on the driver side of the transmission. Some of the solenoids are also there but I think they are under the side cover too.
BTW - I show a 2006 LT model having the 2.2 engine and the SS model having the 2.4 engine.

2006 chevy cobalt LT. the key is stuck

Have you tried shifting the gears completely through and then putting the car in park. It sounds like the car isn't able to be put completely in park to release the key. Try putting the car in N and removing the key. Even thought the car may not completely be in park to release the key, The gear most likely is in park but not enough to make the switch/sensor to release.
