just pulled my alternator out of my 2.0 2005 ford focus. you have to remove it from the top. Removing the power steering fluid reservoir, Radiator reservoir, and the heat shield from the exhaust. Good luck. It wasn't fun. Also I am having a hard time finding a replacement under $250.

Nope, it has two bolts one towards the front and one at the back underneath. Be careful of the one in the back as the nut is tricky to get on. You don't need to remove the bracket.

All I did was wiggle the bolt out . You have to loosen the power steering pulley and bracket and remove the fan shroud on the left side.

If it's like the S-10 Blazer you don't. It's top mounted to the right of the battery and is four bolts a BFH or pry bar and it's out.
