I understand why the tire pressure light came on and how to fix that but I was surprised when my engine light came on at the same time. The car has only 60k miles on it. Any sight as to why the check engine light would come on?
Fix tire pressure first make sure all tires have right tire pressure.to reset low tire pressure light drive vechicle 15 miles an hour for 10 minutes when tire light goes out.then see if check engine light turn off off if not have auto zone do a code scan see what causing check engine light to turn on.

Don't delay on this. Take the vehicle in and have the oil pressure sensor checked. It could be just the sensor or it could be something more serious. A drop in oil pressure could lead to catastrophic engine failure.

Fixing the tire and setting all the tire at the proper pressure should turn the light off automatically. You might have to go to a Dodge Dealership.
The only reason that I can think of is the pressure sensor was damage when the tire repair was performed. To patch a tire, they need to take the tire off the rim. The pressure sensor can be easily damaged during this process if they are not carefully.
Just keep that possibility in mind.

well it depends, if you have just reset the tire pressures, the light should go off by itself, if it doesn't then you have a bad tire pressure sensor. If you have replaced the sensor, it must be programmed into the WCM by the dealership.
