Check the magnetic clutch is engaged on front of a/c pump, have the motor running, a/c on and fan on high, if the centre hub is static the pump in not switched on, this can happen when the gas pressure gets low.

recharging wouldtn hurt, a mechanic can tell you the level and if needed, but check also your serpentine belt, it might just be loose and worn and not engaging the condenser properly.

Hello: Check the coolant level, fill up the reservoir and run truck, if reservoir shows low again fill it back up. If reservoir was low/empty the check for leaks. Do this before you replace thermostat. The heater core would not create this kind of condition.

you have taken the calibration out of sink. you will now have to remove battery power again for about 5 minutes. after this time reconnect the battery. then turn key to on position for 3 minutes but do not touch the heater control or temperature controls. This should allow the heater and ac system to recalibrate. once the 3 minutes is up turn key off and then back on and start truck.. Try your controls again and see what happens. if no change then dealer will have to reprogram the heater control calibration for you.
