SOURCE: driver's side front seat won't move

It is likely the gear on the motor came off track with the seat. The seat will have to be removed and bottom panel disassembled.

SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Camry drivers side power seat stuck

Most common problem is corrosion inside electrical connector to the motor. Either replace or clean out connector. Disconnect battery before doing any cleaning of connrctors. If connectors are a-ok then use voltmeter and see if B+ is making it to seat motor.
If it is then motor is defective . if its not then remove position switch from connectors , use a jumper wire
and jump connectors and see if switch operates motor. If it operates motor then the switch is defective

SOURCE: power front seats

Use a hammer and tap each of the travel rails on seat, this worked great for me, something just gets misaligned in there.

SOURCE: Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.

Toyota Solara. How to fix the driver seat recline?

The seat isn't electric for recline? There are known issues with seats. If it is a manually operated seat, I would remove it and look underneath. It sounds like a broken spring or loose connection to a linkage.

Drivers seat 2000 outback

So here is a diagram of the seat circuitry for your car. Since every other function works except the forward/backward slide function, that leaves basically the forward/backward slide motor, the seat switch, and/or the wiring. If you can verify that the wiring under the seat is in good condition without obstructions, chaffed wires, and/or wires pulled too tight, then it's safe to say it's down to just the motor and/or the switch. Sometimes if the passengers front seat has the same switch, you can plug it in to the drivers' side connector and see what works and what doesn't. If the seat works fine with the other switch, then that's all it needs, if not then it will need a motor. If the other seat doesn't have a switch then you can find them at wrecking yards, or just supply power and ground to the motor in question to see if it works. If it does, then you know you kneed a switch and if not then a motor.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

Broken power seat - Cannot go forward or back

The power seat uses 3 separate motors for the different functions. Sounds like the one for forward/rearward has failed. I think you may find that Dorman manufacturing sells replacements for less that dealer parts. Look it up online or ask your auto parts store.

Drivers electic seat will not adjust

I just had the same problem. When the seat is powered all the forward, one of the worm drives reached the end of its travel and jammed against the threaded block that it passes through. To fix this the seat has to be unbolted and tipped back. There are four tiny 6mm bolts that hold the motor plate in. Remove these and the motor will come out. The worm drive is bolted in at one end and has a set pin at the other. Remove the worm drive and use a couple of vice grips or equivalent to loosen the threaded block from the worm drive.

The automatic seat will not go forward

If the seat track mechanism has play, it is possible that it is binding up because it reached the rearward limit of its travel, stalling the motor. You can try having someone <carefully> force the seat forward from behind as you engage the "forward" function of the switch. This may be enough to "unbind" the mechanism- if this is the issue.
Otherwise, it is likely that the forward function of the ower seat switch is no longer working. You could try to spray some electrical contact cleaner into the switch (being careful not to stain the seat upholstery), let it dry and then try the switch again, possibly wiggling it as you push it forward. If this works, it is likely a temporary fix and you should replace the switch to prevent it happening again.

I am sorry but there is no way to operate the seat without power function working unless you take the whole thing apart.
