Will not run pass 2000 rpm

Ran truck out of fuel. After Found fuel in my base oil, truck ran find. Fixya said that this is caused by a injector stuck open. Took out the injectors and cleaned them and blow compressed air through them. Put them back in. Now the truck will start and idle find, but it will not rev over 2000rpm. I have a OBDII code reader, it gives code PO380 Glow Plug/Heather circuit malfunction, Code PO202 Injector circuit malfunction Cylinder #2, and code P1262 cylinder #2 High to Low side short. What is high to low side short mean and which cylinder is #2, how can you tell.

2000 Avalon Toyota ran out of gas and I can't get my key to turn

Make sure it's in park. If the key still won't remove try turning the steering wheel to get the key to turn. Running out of gas cannot cause a key issue. Two unrelated vehicle systems.

1999 mercury villager won't pass 1 sensor on smog 02 replaced and ran it for ever after replacing battery. Please help

There can be more than one sensor in the system. But here is what happens when your old sensor goes bad. The fuel mix can go rich and this results in a buildup of soot in the catalytic converter.

Sometimes the catalytic converter can recover over time. There are cheater additives which go in the gas and may help you pass the test.

You need a better diagnosis of your potential problem. The onboard computer in your van will not Code every problem and has to be showing a "check engine" light to display any problem.

However, better Scanners (Some costing thousands) can probe the system and reveal many defects.

New sparkplugs, clean fuel injectors, can help lower emissions. Just remember that an additive which dissolves debris on fuel injectors can also send that debris to your Catalytic converter.

Now as far as running it "forever", you want highway speeds, which in terms of RPM is about 2000 RPM on many vehicles. You can shift out of "overdrive" and this will keep the RPM higher at a slower speed, but it needs to be above 45mph to be effective. Your overdrive does not always kick in below 45, so to make a difference using my tip would require driving above 45.

Car sputtered to a stop. Rpm ran down to zero and died.

Doubt it had anything to do with the oil change or belts replacement unless they were done wrong. e.g. improper oil or belt placement. Sputtering, as you stated usually comes from the fuel system. Check that.

Using more rpm to maintain speed than before, cat converter and o2 sensor replaced within 6 months but peoblem showed up approx 2 months after r&r of parts, ran fuel treatment of injectors & fuel...

If the RPM is higher at any particular speed than before, the only cause could be that the transmission is slipping. Things like O2 sensors, Catalytic converters, fuel treatments, etc. have absolutely nothing to do with incresed engine (input) speed to axle (output) speed ratios.

Misfire on #3

Re: 2000 Volvo S40 L4 1.9 Liter L4 1.9 Liter Turbo FI

Are you consider yourself a handy person?

Swap the coil and see is the misfire going to follow to another bank of cylinder.

You has total of 3 coil in your engine.

Do a detail record map and switch the two coils.

A replacement aftermarket coil is oil $46 w/one year warranty and $55 will get you a life time warrent coil.

Do the swap and see what happen.

A leaky/failing injector can also cause the same problem.

Do a Chevron Techron fuel injector clean ran and highway ran.

Good luck
