What year radiators can go into a 1994 honda civic ex

Its possible the radiator blew from too much pressure, either caused by a faulty radiator cap, or a leaking head gasket.
I would start with figuring out if it was too much pressure and why.

your heater has apparently restricted the coolant flow....hopefully a good system back flushing will cure the problem....use a flush obtained from a parts house....I would buy the hose kit for flushing as well...good luck to you

Try taking spark plugs out and then turn engine over, if water sprays fron cylinders then the reason it overheadted was head gascet fault, but once water is removed and spark plugs re-fitted then it should start. hope not head gascet tho.

Remove and raise upper hose at thermostat end and remove lower rad hose.
Fill rad with a hose and watch for flow from bottom rad hose and/ or bottom rad hose connecton.......water should fall though rad easily.
Honda rads are cheap.....any restriction....replace rad.

Remove thermostat....fill thermostat housing with hose and watch for water flow at bottom rad hose.
Flush good.

Remove heater hoses.......flush back and forth until a good flow is present "With heater control set to hot" if no or poor flow....replace heater core.

Stop leak can plug everything.

Also.......not likely causing over heating....but ....at your mileage,if you do not know if the timing belt has been changed.....CHANGE IT NOW!
Water pump is optional at this mileage.

with your description it sounds like your fans are not coming on, also sounds like the problem was never solved, sounds like you threw a lot of money at your problem also... check to see if the fans are coming on at the right times, seems like a n air movement over the radiator since you say it only gets hot in stop and go traffic... well when your driving at a constant highway speed guess what you have air movement through the radiator... check also a clogged ac condensor with bugs, pressure wash it out so the air can pass through it easily... please rate my help thanks

i suspect the water pump..

Hook up a cooling system pressure tester. If you have a pin point leak, the pressure from the tester will shoot coolant out of the leaking area.

MIGHT NEED TO FLUSH YOUR RADIATOR OUT OR HAVE A SHOP ROD IT OUT FOR YOU.DOES THE WATER IN THE RAD. LOOK NASTY LOOKING,IF SO FLUSH IT FIRST BEFORE YOU TAKE TO SHOP

most alunium /steel cars need there anti freeze changed at least 1x a year .Electrolis will build up and slow of almost stop the water flow causing heat buildup

The idle problem kinda sounds like the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve on the intake manifold. Another idea is maybe coolant temp. sensor. And if it's leakings coolant still after replacing all those parts then i would say maybe the water pump is leaking since i believe on those motors its by the timing belt which is behind the plastic cover on the motor so maybe that's why you're not seeing fluid so much because it's in there.
