The LS does not have an internal coil in the distriburator and I was wondering if it was possible to use my civic distriburator coil to replace the LS coil. will the fitment fit perfectly and will there be any problems? 1998 Acura Integra. P0301 misfire.

If you have already checked the spark plugs, plug wires, fuel injectors, and distributor and are still experiencing a misfire in cylinder 1 and 2, here are a few more things you can check:
  1. Compression: Check the compression in cylinder 1 and 2 using a compression tester. Low compression could cause a misfire in one or both cylinders.
  2. Vacuum Leak: Check for a vacuum leak by inspecting all hoses and fittings for cracks, damage, or looseness. You can also use a smoke machine or propane torch to locate any leaks.
  3. Ignition Coil: Check the ignition coil to ensure it is functioning properly. You can do this by swapping the coils from cylinder 1 and 2 with the coils from another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the swapped coil.
  4. Fuel Pressure: Check the fuel pressure to ensure it is within the manufacturer's specifications. Low fuel pressure can cause misfires.
  5. EGR Valve: Check the EGR valve to ensure it is functioning properly. A malfunctioning EGR valve can cause misfires.
  6. PCM/ECU: If all other components have been checked and are functioning properly, it is possible that the PCM/ECU (Powertrain Control Module/Engine Control Unit) may be faulty and may need to be replaced.
It is recommended to perform these checks in a methodical manner to narrow down the cause of the misfire. If you are not comfortable performing these checks yourself, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional technician.

Can I change out a distributor on a 1990 honda civic, or does it necessitate a trip to the shop?

The distributor on Honda engines are quite easy. I do not have a step by step but a local auto parts store like Auto Zone can give you step by step instructions and they can talk you through them. I did a cap and coil on a 90 Acura Integra. It only took about an hour. It should only take you about 2 hours to do the distributor if you also have to do the rotor. But usually you only need the coil and cap.

My 94 civic wont crank seems to be getting gas but no spark in plugs

if there is no spark and it has the coil built into the distributor then the coil is most likely bad

Can i put a 1994 acura integra ls trans to replace a 1989 acura i

I don't think this would be possible wihtout some hassles.

The engine type build changed twice between the 89 and the 94 series integra.

I would suggest you speak to Honda specialised mechanic before you purchase the 94 tranny.

Also check out the Honda forums as they ahve guys who have done some handy things with the ol integra

Just a question

The swap is easy but too much to post here. I will fit into any civic 89-00 with the right aftermarket mounts from hasport or just go to ebay. The engine harness can be purchased at a local juck yard if you don't have a harness with 4 injectors. I you have only two injectors then the harness will need to be modified with vtec wiring and ad the other 2 injectors. Any 90-93 integra axles will fit as long as you use the halfshft. Must be manual. and use a modified shif linkage from ebay. Youmust take off the caps behind the civics hubs. Use a PWO or PR3 ECU. Good luck.
