2005 Mustang Convertible GT. AC blows cold air for a while then just slowly quits. I've had the refrigerant charged but it still happens.

Sounds like the ac system is freezing up, they are supposed to cycle the compressor on and off the keep the pressures in spec to prevent this but failed cycling switches and or overcharged or undercharged Freon can also cause this. When the ac quits pop the hood and look at the ac lines, is one of them covered in ice? If so it's definitely freezing up. Finding out why is the fun part.

The ac unit freezes up when it gets really hot and humid out and the ac blows hot air. what would cause this problem? it seems like the unit is freezing up and getting too hot and not allowing itself to...

This is caused by the low pressure AC compressor cycling switch, it is a very cheap part and located in the larger of the two AC lines coming from the AC compressor.

Can i run a 2003 montero sport without the ac belt?

You can run any car without a belt around the AC compressor, BUT it is likely to cause the compressor to freeze up you do it for to long. So if your AC compressor is operational, I wouldn't recommend it.

I suspect that there is water in the ac system that is freezing and causing a high pressure problem and that is why the ac is switching off
Take it to an accredited ac specialists shop for a proper diagnosis

My air conditioning is freezing i opened the hood and all of the lines were frozen why?

Most likely you have a leak in the system some where and it being low on freon is causing it to freeze over. Also if the coil in front of the radiator is clogged and dirty it will cause it to freeze over. Get some coiil cleaner and clean the coil and have the AC freon checked.

AC freezes up after running two hours.

If it actually is freezing up,the low pressure switch is the likely cause. It is screwed into the large ac line near the firewall, witch is the cold line.If it is not there it is in the dryer, near the firewall,or under the air filter box.Follow the ac line(large ac line/hoses)from the ac compressor untill you come to the switch, that is the easy way to locate it.This low pressure switch causes the ac compressor to cycle on and odd according to the pressure sensed from the ac low side line. When it gets really cold the pressure is lowered, and there for it will cut off,and when the pressure rises,it cuts the ac compressor back on.It would be a really good idea to check the freon in the vehicle first. If the ac system is low on freon,it will freeze up on some vehicles.

2006 ford fusion ac problem

As a Ford dealer tech I found this was always caused by the AC compressor cycling switch, it shuts the compressor off when it reaches about 30 PSI, this prevents freeze up and saves fuel, when the system press rises again to about 42 PSI it turns the compressor back on and so on, change the switch, it is located in the low pressure line from the compressor, that is the one that gets cold.

2000 V70 AC gets cold then freezes up. After a few minutes it's fine then freezes up again. What would cause that?

You have most likely a leak in the pipeline/compressor.
