98 dodge ram 5.2L strutters and shakes

I was driving home today and once I reached about 45 mph it started struttering and shaking until I let off the gas and it would stop until I tried getting back to that speed when I got off to a side road I just put the pedal down and had no problem with the truck getting to 65 and for the rest of the drive home it seemed to drive fine was just wondering if someone could give me a heads up on where to start with this problems thanks

well it happens when I push on the gas when I let off it sounds and runs fine when it ran for a bit it seemed to go away totally could it deal with a bad O2 sensor maybe?

I am also having this problem. I have a 98 ram. My problem won't go away. Anytime I accelerate rapidly my truck stutters and sound like it is backfiring. Once i get up to a good cruise it stops then when i accelerate again it does the same thing. What could it be. Maybe o2 sensor?

I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.2L engine i have replaced everything dealing with spark and ignition and also fuel. When i hit around 45mph the trucks strutters and shakes. When i start the truck up at any given point during the day the truck sounds like it is misfiring and i pull the codes up on the truck and it states misfire cyclinder 5. I have had the computer flashed and that still has not solved the problem.

It could be a number of things. check your ball joints. i had the same problem with my dodge, i replaced the ball joints and it stopped. your wheels could also need alignment.

2001 Ford ranger shakes at 45 mph until I let off the gas. I drive a little further and it starts shaking again until I let off the gas. Drive more, shakes, let off the gas. Still shakes.

Have the front end checked for worn parts like suspension rubber bushings and worn tie rod ends or ball joints, all will cause this

96 dodge 1500 5.9 L shakes at 45 mph in OD

I would see if my tires are properly balanced or if somehow I have cracked a motor mount. Both can produce the symptoms you mention.

2000 nissasn altima service engine soon light came on car has been struttering when iam at lights engine is running much harder than usual to the point when i am idoling the hood shakes.any ideas?

You will need to get the check engine light code from the car's computer, without this code the options for what's wrong are almost endless. A scan tool must be used to do this. You can go to a dealership where they will be able to perform a full diagnostic, or an independent shop (either are fine), or for free you could go to an Advance Auto Parts or AutoZone and have the code read but no diagnostic done. I would recommend not driving it too much until you can get this code read to find out what system of the car is malfunctioning.

On my 2006 Ram 2500 truck. Last week I hit a bump while traveling about 60 MPH. The front tire started shaking, I thought I had a blow out. When I slowed down to about 30 it all stopped. When I...

A few possibilities.... bent rim, broken steel belt in tire, or a wheel weight that keeps the tire/wheel combination in balance has fallen off. Not sure how big the bump was, so other options would be suspension related. I would check the tire and/or wheel first.
