Only if the blower does not come on at all. Check refrigerant level too.

SOURCE: how to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.

SOURCE: ac blower won't work. Resistor has been replaced 3 times. I think it is the problem now. Is it easy to replace? Where is it?

Blower motor resistors are found on the pasenger side ducts near the blower motor. It should have three wires going to it.

SOURCE: Air Conditioner blower motor resistor was replaced

Motor is also energized by a relay. check that and also check that the motor itself is good by running a hot lead right to it. I'm sure you already checked the fuse and know the switch is good?

SOURCE: blower for heater wont run

Yes, you can take a voltmeter, ground the negative side to the battery negative side or to the frame of the car. Then see if you have voltage at the blower resistor first and then at the motor. Track the voltage down till you find where it stops.

94 CHEVY Silverado ????,heat/ac fan not blowing. K1500?????? Hear clicking when selecting l'm, SET high but not blowing! WITH AIR OR NO A/C? FIRST IS FUSES, MAKE SURE THE BLOWER FUSE IS NOT BLOWN.
EASY NO? CHECK ALL FUSES FIRST. ON ALL ELECTRICS FAILING OF ANY KIND.
BAD FUSE, BAD WIRINIG , BAD CONNECTIONS. OR EVEN BAD RELAYS TO THE BLOWER OR BAD SWITCH BLOW.
THE OLD CARS , HAD A SPEED BLOW , RESISTOR BLOCK
THAT FAILS ON ALL SPEEDS BUT HIGH, SO ITS NOT THAT.
OWN A VOLT METER????
HERE IT IS, ANY OF THIS CAN FAIL THIS OLD
WE USES A VOLTMETER TO FIND THE POINT OF FAILURE.
A SHORTED BLOWER MOTOR CAN BLOW LEFT SIDE TOP
FUSABLE LINK.RIGHT FUSE BLOWN MAKES THE CONTROLLER DEAD.

What cause the Heater/AC fan motor on a 2002 Buick regal 3.8L not to run?

Its possible its the fan motor itself. you could check for power and ground at the motor. If you have + and - bump the motor to see if it will run. If you dont have + - then it could be the Blower motor Resistor.

My 05 grand cherokee's ac only works on high setting. The fan does doesn't work on any other setting whether the ac is on or not. What could be the cause of this problem.

There is a blower resister module in the blower case, near the blower motor that is bad, what causes this is a bad blower motor,it may run good and sound good, but it is drawing to many amps, and is burning the resister out, this is your speeds. If this was at all helpful, please rate, and thank you.

Fan for ac/heat does not work on lower settings

The blower motor resistor is bad.Replacing that should fix the issue. In addition it is possible that the blower motor may have caused the resistor to go bad. If that is the case then the blower motor should be replaced as well.

My E320 AC blower doesn't work

The blower motor and blower motor resistor need to be checked and replaced if one is good and the other bad it is stil a good idea to replace both at the same time, the resistor controls the power to the blower motor. it will be one or the other but replace both .
