2002 Mitsubishi Galant wont start 2.4L

Ok Im a advid mechanic but Im a little stumped. Rule out the battery and starter cause it cranks but wont start. Yes I do know it has those chip keys but its not it. First I thought I wasnt pumping gas but usually I hear fuel pumps pumping gas when you put the ignition on, but not this car. It comes on when you crank it. And ruled out the spark plugs they are new and they have spark. All fuses are ok. What doesnt make sense is when I took it to Autozone for a check engine light but when they tried to hook it on they said the plug under the dash was not supplying power to it. Funny weird I said. But question is, can I rule out the Brain of the car and what else can I check to see whats causing it not to run? Oh and the vacuum lines are ok too

Galant wont start and does not turn over

1. Check the battery. Easiest is to take it to Auto part store and have them run a test on it. Most do it for free.
Batt OK?-> Check the starter.

Mitsubishi wont start

It amazes me how many people jump straight to a bad starter, battery or alternator. They forget that some vehicles like the 2009 galant have a key fob key that has an immobilizer chip in it that will allow the car to crank but not actually start. If the battery is going bad or the chip is going bad itself it would cause intermittent starting as well

My 2002 Mitsubishi Galant will not start. When we try to crank it, we smell the gas. We've took it to the shop and put in a new fuel pump because they thought that was the problem. It was not the fuel...

DID YOU CHECK THE IGNITER/MODULE THAT'S IN THE DISTRUBUTOR,CHECK THAT AND COIL,YOU ARE NOT GETTING FIRE.(IGNITION)DON'T TAKE IT SOMEWHERE THEY JUST GUESS TAKE TO SOME ONE WHO TESTS,ALWAYS A GOOD RULE.

99 mitsubishi galant , I changed the negative terminal battery post, now the car stalls when coming to a complete stop (stop sign ,red light). I cleaned both terminal posts . Suggestions? Oh, on the advise...

not the starter motor ,who said that ? no its purely coincidental that changing the battery terminal caused this problem .Now you havent stated as to type of engine diesel or petrol ? if a petrol then double your battery instalation as if what you say is correct ? then you may have either dislodged a vacumn line or touched one which has split owing to age so have a good look .Backyard mechanic like the description .Well iam a aged dinasaur old truck mechanic .WITH A BIG HAMMER

Car wont start single click

This is not the crank sensor if the starter will not engage, and turn the engine, clean the battery terminals real good and shiny, make sure the battery is good,do not assme,if this does not help, replace the starter, this is the most likely problem, the starter is clicking.

Mitsubishi galant sometimes clicks and won t start but after a few trys it starts

Battery is weak or you have a corroded terminal.
Baking soda and warm water with a tooth brush.
Followed by plenty of cold water
Don't get anything on you , your shoes or your clothes.

Location of a cam sensor

Hi
you didn`t say which engine, but as a rule they are mounted behind the cambelt cover very near the camshaft sprocket not easy to change,if not there it will be mounted in the cylinder head relative to one camshaft.
