Vibration at speeds of 45-55mph

Hello, I have a 1995 dodge dakota regular cab 2 wheel drive automatic transmission. When I reach the speeds between 45 and 55 mph,I feel a pulsating vibration noise. When I let off of the accelerator pedal, the vibration goes away even at 45 to 55 mph. When the transmission is in 1st,2nd or 3rd gear,it seems fine, but when it hits 4th that is when it starts vibrating.I thought it maybe the universal joints were bad,so I changed them.Still no change on this situation. All four wheels have been replaced and balanced.Any ideas? Please help me. Thank you

My 1988 Dodge ramcharger 318 4x4 is giving me a bad vibration when it is in park & I step on the gas peddle, there is also some type of backfire when I let off of the gas peddle. It also happens when I'm going about 50 mph on the highway. It feels like it may be something in the exhaust system but I just put on new Flow Masters. Please help

Then take a look at your trans missions mounts,Leaf spring brackets, plug wires, motor mounts,A bad motor mount could cause a vibration when under a load..

#1 whatever he said was not innapropriate you act a bit outrageous in the replies and #2 a u joint if it comes with a shuddering under load such as acceleration but it could be suspension linkage if its loose and worn over certain speeds it will move or wiggle. it could be a hub bearing as this causes resistance if certain balls in a bearing pack are worn or damaged i know this is a year old but still cant just diagnose at first glance and cannot be like a kid and jump at it at 120mph thinking definites

Cost of replacing automatic rear transmission seal 1991 dodge dakota

If it is a 2 wheel drive, should be pretty cheap. The drive shaft comes out, the seal comes out, and the install is reverse.
You can check the cost of the part online for your area and whatever the labor rate is for your area, I would say 1 - 2 hrs.

2000 Dodge Dakota vibration while driving

sound like the u-joints in the driveshaft. Lay under the truck and where the u-joints are try moving the driveshaft up and down. If it moves then the u-joints are bed. This will cause a tremendous vibration under a load and the faster it spins it will smooth out.

Vibration at certain speeds

It could be as simple as a bad transmission mount. The bearings in an automatic transmission are not a roller bearing, they're all bushing type bearings without any rollers. The fluid in the transmission keeps them lubricated so they don't need moving parts. I would doubt that it's in the transmission if all the gears work smoothly. The only bearings like what you're asking for are the needle bearings in the planetary gears. If one of them were going I'm not sure you'd feel it while driving, especially at slow speeds like leaving the driveway.

I can point you to a website that has a part by part breakdown of your transmission if you like, but the pdf can take a while to download on a slow connection.
