I had my immobiliser removed (prostates next) from my Polo (1Y) engine due to problems starting after briefly parking and then trying to start the motor while still hot. Less than 100km and less than 24 hrs later my engine overheated and died. I had the "head" of the motor replaced at a 2nd garage, since the 1st garage claimed no fault. The second garage said that the hose behind the immobiliser was not closed properly (lose and at an angle). There was also signs of brown water residues on the motor block adjacent to the upper end of the hose. Question: Can anyone tell me and bring technical proof, such as a page from an official manual, if the hose must be removed inorder to remove the immobiliser. My whole claim depends on that point.
Thank you one and all,
Ari

SOURCE: Engine stalls while driving. Fuel deprivation?
I am having the exact same problem with my VW Touareg @60,000 miles. Two weeks ago and again today it sputters and stalls shortly after starting. I brought it into the shop and they could not reproduce the problem and said it was fine. Also, they had no ideas when I describes the problem. Anyone know what it going on? I am out of warranty.
SOURCE: VW Polo Immobiliser P Reg
I have the same problem with immobiliser in a 2007 golf, i have yet to figure out the problem:
Immobiliser will not allow me to sart the car but, if I let it Cool off , sometime sit between 5-120 min. it will start. i have tried succesfully the disconnect the battery for 30 min.
- it not the battery, given boost and no result
- it's not the alternator, it been tested
- Starters are effected by Temperature, i think it's the starter.
let me know what you guys think
