I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 pickup flexfuel and have been experiencing trouble lights coming on. Have just had a rebuilt transmission put in, ignition switch replaced (truck would keep running after cut off) and now, the cluster lights came on today and the truck cut off. I found that the harness wiring was hanging down so I found the bolt and tightened it, Ran for a while then the same thing happened...dash lights came on, the truck buccked and cut off. Had trouble starting it. Help...

Yes it screws in on right side of tramission and you will need a 7/8 inch deep socket to remove it. You may be able to clean the old one once it is removed. There is a little ball thatgets dirty and may you can get by with cleaning it. Good Luck. Ed

Check if your wires are on TIGHTLY on the battery, if one loses a touch, your car will shut off. If you go over a tiny bump, or turn to one side or another, they could disconnect, causing your car to lose a + or a - cable connection. Which would very well make your car shut off. Also, check for any corrosion on the battery terminals. Good luck.
SOURCE: remove instrument cluster
sure you can relax and look at them if they don't detach at the cluster then trace the ware about 5 inches in and it should be right there
