If the battery is not holding a charge, you need to address this problem first. The life expectancy of an automotive battery is 5yrs. For a battery to not hold a charge, there are numerous reasons. The battery may be bad, the charging system may not be working properly, or there is a draw on the system while the vehicle is not running. All this needs to be checked to isolate the problem with not holding a charge. If the engine starts without the key in the ignition by itself, you may have a starter relay sticking or wiring problem
Is the battery not holding a charge or is it being drained by something staying on? If not holding a charge then replace.....if something draining the battery look at interior lights or trunk/boot light!
you either have'nt recharged as it isn't holding the charge ,or have it connected the wrong way round , which i doubt, have the battery tested for holding charge , if no good the get new battery and check the alternator charge rate as could be low and not charging battery
Depends. If the alternator is charging, and the battery will not hold a charge, I would suspect the battery. If the alternator is not charging the battery, I would look at the fuseable links and connections.
THE BATTERY IS ONLY FOR STAR THE CAR. WEND THE THE CAR IS RUNIG ALTENATOR IS CHARGING THE BATTERY FOR NEX TIME YOU NEED TO STAR THE CAR . CHECK CHARGE ON THE ALTENATOR . IF ALTENOTOR NO CHARGING REPLACE.
its the battery. the battery holds the charge and the alternator charges it so when you jump the car it stays running because you alternator is providing power when you shut the car off you have a bad battery that isnt holding the charge needed to start it again.
