The computer is not seeing the front axle engage switch close. The front axle engagement is done with a vacumm motor controlled by a vacumm switch on the Transfer case. The computer waits for the electrical engage switch to be triggered. There are several parts to the system. I've seen too many variences with this problem. It is more often part of the vacumm system not working properly. You would need to verify that the 4WD works or not. Then see if the vacumm signal changes to the motor on the front axle going from 2WD to 4WD. If the vacumm signal doesn't change go to the vacumm switch on the Transfer case.(it is way up high on the T-case, hard to get at and difficult to change) If the signal changes, the T-case switch is good and your problem lies with the front axle system. If the vacumm motor on the front axle engages and disengages then replace the electrical engage switch on the front axle.
Your Radio has issues. I presume the CD player is part of the radio. If the radio works(noise and such) but just doesn't show display it may have the backlite bulbs burnt, however that would involve dismantling the radio which takes a special talent in itself.

My coolant sensor is bad on 1998 Jeep Grand Cher Laredo TSI V8 5.2 4X4 is flashing in control panel.

Trace the upper radiator hose toward the Grand Cherokee's engine until you reach the metal component connecting the hose to the engine -- this is the thermostat housing. Find the coolant temperature sensor -- the electrical component on the thermostat housing. Press the locking button on the coolant temperature sensor wiring harness and pull the wiring harness from the sensor, then remove sensor it screws out. when putting in new sensor coat the threads with teflon pipe thread tape so there is no leaks.

95 jeep grand service 4x4 swich comesup on display whay does that mean

According to the mechanic who works on Jeep, it's one of three things:
1) Corrosion on the connector to the switch (which is located on top of the transfer case).
2) A bad switch. Part cost about $22.00, or
3) A bad console display. he says they have had a fair number of console display units fail. That one runs about $240.

Hope helped.

95 5.2 in grand cher. one cylinder low compresion even with new heads doesn"t use oil either like bad rings do

Try a leak down test, similar to a compression test, but fills the cylinder with air and regulates the amount of air escape. This may help.

95 Jeep Gr. Cher, rear pass window won't roll-up.

If you inspect the harness, it really does not matter what the wire color is if the wire is damaged, repair it
Any broken wires are not a good thing. Also check the wires for the door that has the problem as well. The master switches on jeeps are poorly made and sometimes replacing it will help...I use scrapyard parts for that. A test light and decent voltmeter are very helpful in finding and verifying voltage in wires.
