bought a new fob today and the dealership programmed it for me. The fob will not unlock however when the button is pressed the dome light comes on. THe lock and panic buttons do work. The dealership agree to look at the keyless entry module. IF that checks out where and what should I be looking for?

It wouldn't be the car battery, but since you just purchased the car, the dealership should correct the problem. Bring it to their attention right away. Did you get any kind of warranty? Most dealers have at least a 30 day warranty for things like this.

03 Mitsubishi Outlander keyless entry

The battery could be needing to be replaced into your cars remote.I would try replacing the battery in your cars remote to see if that helps. If the remote for your car still is not working you will need a new one from the car dealership with what company had made your car.

Can a remote start be installed in a car with NO KEYLESS ENTRY? no alarm system...just a key to open doors

Yes. After market remote start kits don't care about keyless entry or alarm systems. You will get a separate key fob to operate the remote starter.

Your solution is to contact the nearest Hyundai Dealership to acquire new remote(s) and have their Service Department program the new remote(s) to your vehicle.

How do I reprogram the key fob on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe without having to pay the fee at the dealership?

Well, you basically have only 3 choices:
1. Pay the fee at the dealership
2. Purchase the high-dollar equipment that is required to perform the programming procedure
3. Forget about adding another key fob to tor vehicle.

Remote door opener on 2002 elantra gl does not work. The fuse is blown and I cannot locate it.

the keyless entry does not have a fuse itself however the vehicle has a iod, or storage fuse, that will disable the keyless system but other accessories wont function, the dome light , clock, or radio, if those items work then the fuse is good. check the remote itself, the dealer can check the remote n/c, if the remote is ok than the relay can be bad or the alarm module, best advice, take it to the dealer, they will know whats wrong with it and it wont cost too much to diag .

2008 Hyundai i30. 2.0 litre petrol. (Elantra selected, since I believe i30 is same basic engine system as the Elantra, and i30 is not a provided option for my model on this forum). Car won't start. Engine...

Interesting problem.. since not US spec. Is there a 'remote keyless (fob)' programmed for this vehicle? That's the only way to DE-arm the immobilizer (anti-theft) feature (based on US specs). Unless you have this key fob (keyless entry remote... which must also be programmed for this vehicle), the only other way is wait 5 minutes with the existing key in the ignition, then it should start (US specs). You will still need to have an 'ACTIVE' keyless remote programmed for this vehicle... otherwise, you'll continue to run into this problem.

2003 Tiburon GT Remote Key

Seriously don't use the factory alarm system / keyless entry.

While my car was under warranty, the alarm malfunctioned and it wouldn't disarm. The solution was to have the car towed to a dealership and install a new BCM. This would have cost me over $1,000 - and it's not an isolated case.

Don't get a Hyundai key fob. Have an after market alarm / keyless entry installed. It will be cheaper & easier.
