Need to replace tail light bulb on 1996 Buick Century

I just did a 97 Regal yesterday and yes you are correct...the strip must be removed to gain access...depending on model you may have to remove the cushioning panel (piece of upholstery panel) on the inside of trunk lid...follow this video URL as it explains the removal better in video form than written..basically remove the 7 10mm nuts holding panel on, lower trunk lid a little and wiggle panel off, twist socket and remove to gain bulb access..install is reverse procedure ...Regal, Century and LeSabre are all same idea/setup Tail Light Change 1997 2005 Buick Century 2004 Buick Century Custom 3 1L V6

there is a seprate ground that mounts to the frame of your car near the light usualy in trunk in between the rear speakers locate and make shure the conection is good.if that dos not solve it on the pasengers side rear light check bulbs for detereated ends if thay are then replace.this shuold solve you problem

its the same bulb but a different filament in the bulb.open the trunk and you may have to move the trunk rug out of the way and you should see about what looks like 6 wing nuts that have to be removed then pulled out the tailight assembly to change the bulb.

Replace the socket of the bulb. It's shorted out.

At a guess, I would say 2 ideas. There is a panel inside the rear corner remove the panels to access the units OR, you may have to undo the rear light screws and gain access by removing the tail light lens. Hope this helps, Good luck

wing nuts on innide of trunk hold lens assembly in remove all fastners and slide out assembly to access light sockets on rear of lens.

replace the switch

two places left drivers side under the dash are on the side of the dash by the door for the interior, some cars have them on the right side of the dash also. There is also another fuse box under the hood. If you have your owners manual this is all listed in it, and the exact fuse location for your breaklights, I think your will be on the drivers side interior Hope this helps you! When you open the truck there are several nuts across the back that have to be unscrewed across the inside of trunk to access the bulbs.

Open the passenger door and look on the right side of glove compartment. You will see a small door that says fuse.
