I washed my truck and it cost me $5.00, Yeah! It seems that when the rotor is real shiny and gets a speck of brake dust on it, then it will make an awful whining noise (only when taking off). If I want I can sand them down, but a car wash will do.

The hood will be the same, but the bumper will be different: the Geo Metro had its turn signals in the bumper and the Chevy Metro had them in with the headlights. The bumpers also look different, however their mounts may be the same. If your sister wants fer car to look the same you should find a bumper from a 1998-2001 Chevy Metro.

sounds like your one of your hubs on the front axle are staying engaged when you turn off the 4wd. By reselecting the 4wd high and back to 2wd hi it is causing it to release. Get it looked at these can get expensive if damage is done.

Check your transmission fluid, make sure it's at the proper level and that the fluid is bright red and not dark like burgundy. Also make sure the fluid is not foaming up, that could be a sign of the transmission oil filter has fallen or the pump is failing. The other thing to is dirty may be gumming up the pressure line servo. Best thing to do is have the transmission serviced and have them do a pressure line test and if they have to, have them raise the line pressure. That can be done with a tech 2 scanner so call around for a good transmission shop who can do this and not take your wallet for simple things do to keep your transmission from dropping. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

I recomend changing both sides at the same time. unless there was damage to the axle shaft from say... offroading or an accident (yes you can offroad a metro... used to take mine on 4wheeler trails all the time), there is a chance the other side will go out before too long as well. if you replace one side and not the other you may also notice a pull to the side that was not changed, due to one being worn drastically more than the other. hope this helps
