2005 ford Taurus is blowing hot air, it does not need a recharge. I just tried that and the gauges immediately went to the red.

What have you checked so far ?
Radiator full of coolant ? Heater hoses getting hot ?

Either the compressor is shot or freon needs a recharge

I think you have a bad pressure switch.

You have an air pocket in the engine. your coolant is probably a little low

If the pump is blowing, then I first would recharge the refridgerant.

First try to get the ac recharged it may be low. Second try the gasket around the ac pump, they go bad easily and will case the ac to blow hot air.
