Jul 15, 2014 - OK, just picked up a 2000 DX hatch, automatic. Stock interior everything except previous owner changed gear selector stick with an aftermarket .

On some of the newer vehicles, after the install you may need to get the dealer to do a software update so the vehicle knows that there is now fog lights. it may not know they are there yet.

i have no experience to intall it, my boyfriend is car repair technician, so i can tell you some tips about it,
1,fog light mounted bumper in the hood
2,the fog light should be below the headlights
you should notice you local laws, if install the fog light is awful.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the mounting bolts.
3. Remove the fog light assembly.
4. Remove the wiring connector.

The bolts would be in back of fog light

installed a 2004 transmission in a 2001 honda civic but the enginge wont start the fan comes on and the drive light on the gear shift contanly blink in all other gears.

it is more than likely a short in the headlight switch. also try the dimmer switch on the dash for the dash lights.

If it had it one time or another yes. If not it will cost u a lot of cash.

Look on the wiring harness it plugs in on top of the transmission
make sure all the wires are together. If every thing is ok with the wiring, The sensor is the only thing it could be. A gook used spedometer sensor from the junk yard will work this sensor dosent take a lot of abuse so a good used one will be cheap and work just fine. This is a job you can do your self and save a lot of money. I had the same problem with my 95 civic
