SOURCE: oil pressure warning light on my audi a4 2005
The car has entered into fail safe mode. It wil not allow the engine to rev high but allows you only to get to a mechanic or to get some oil into the engine. What's the level like? Is there any trace of leakeage?

take the bulb back out have someone sit in car apply brake get your self a circuit tester and check to see if this circuit is carrying efficient 12 volt current! some times in cold weather these bulbs get hot with long period of breaking and when released condensate and rust begins and you get what you have perhaps bad socket! this would be a ideal location to begin and probably end,

That is a sign that your ABS controller is failing - www.modulemaster.com can rebuild it and warranty it for you.

Do the ABS brakes function? If not, there is a fault with a wheel sensor or the ABS controller. Check the OBD Codes. You can get them scanned at Auto Zone for free. If there is no communication from the ABS control unit, that's probably bad and needs to get rebuilt. Cost about $150.00 if you send in your unit.
Good Luck

Inside the boot is a plastic cap embeded in the boot liner. Remove the cap to reveal a screw. Undo the screw and the whole rear light cluster will come away in a sideways and not rearward direction to reveal all of the bulbs. Hope this helps.
