Twice in the past week my 740 Volvo wagon would not start and sounded like it was flooded. I recently replaced the timing belt and also the spark plugs.
I brought it to a local repair shop but they could not the source of the problem?
Any idea of what it could be?
Thanks!
Yeah coke system not working proper ivor to much or not enough even if its a injection model it will still have a coke unit for cold starting
choke system i ment lol,,, maybe its coming on when warm or staying on making to fuel strengh to stronge are the plugs going black or very dark they should be a light tan
sorry for delay, in writing back been away on holiday easter weekend,, if the plugs are getting black it being choked up mixture is to rich ,, there is a defo problem with the air flow censors, or cold start valve faulty ,, sounds like the cold start it no nocking off or its coming on when it should,, this is why the garage never found the problem.. if it didnt happen then then they wouldnt find the problem.

It happened when the car was already warmed up, not cold. It seems to be OK in the morning.
I don't know much about the coke system.
Thank you for your response.
The plugs were black the first time it happened, I took out the front plug and then it started up. I replaced the spark plugs, but it happened again.
