If you just had the timing adjusted on this vehicle, then you created a big problem. The ignition timing IS NOT ADJUSTABLE at all. When you turn the distributor you are throwing the injectors and the secondary ignition out of synch with the primary reference signal. This will require a professional scan tool to get it back where it's supposed to be. The offset has too be set to 0.

Is your air cleaner good ? Replace aircleaner. look for leaks of anyliquids or debris that may be keeping the valve dirty.

I have a 2001 Nissan Altima and mine did the same thing. We replaced the intake gasket. It costs around $5.50, but it requires several different kinds of tools. We spent over $100 in special sockets, etc. But once you replace that gasket, it will idle better.

you may have to drive it several days for the light to go off, or have the codes cleared. personally I would just drive it. if the computer tests it, and it passes the test, it will go off on its own.
