I have tried a couple of different things like installing a resistor in the vat chip wires and holding a key chip to chip on the wires to bypass. I recently bought a vats key bypass module but i am not sure i am connecting it properly!

Have you done any work in the ignition switch or with the key.

because your car use a chip in the key, " anti theft system"

your post look like anti theft system. Thank you,,

My wife was driving the car at 40 mph down a busy street, and the car just up and quit, no warning, no chugging, nothing, just quit. Now, it turns over, but won't start. We turned the key on, popped off the gas cap to listen for the fuel pump to come on, which it is, and even checked the fuel rail under the hood, pressed the valve and gas shot out, there's plenty of pressure on the fuel, so it's not that. We checked for spark, there's none at the coil pak. So, what is wrong? The coil pak? The crank positioning sensor? The Ignition Control Module? I need help!!

WE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, CAM SENSOR AND CRANK SENSOR WE HAVE NO INJECTOR PULSE

Just read this thread. Sounds like once the engine starts to run the electrical system has a loss of current. Check to see if the ignition switch is the cause.

87 chevy s10 blazer 2.8 has power to all related components but no spray from injectors cranks but wont start

-Use noise light to check each injector wire connector to see
If there is power there or not when you crank.
-If there is not power at all then 90% the cam & crank sensor are effect.
Good luck

I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville that is shutting off while I am driving. It eventually starts but it happens over and over. I changed the fuel relay switch but it still happens. what next?

How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes free. Does it stall at idle or going down the highway?
With extended crank, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and check fuel injector pulse.

If injector pulse is missing when problem is ongoing, two things I think of, do you have an rpm signal and security system where applicable. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. Intermittent problems can be a pain to track. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction.

I have replaced the fuel pump on my 1994 pontiac grand prix with the 3.1 litre v6. But it does not seem to be sending the fuel to the motor? In the instructions it says something about the oil pressure...

Are you sure that the fuel pump is properly installed? Have you tested the fuel pump circuits to see if they are working properly? Did you also replace your fuel filter? (It could be totally clogged up) Have you checked to see if there is any fuel pressure at the fuel rail or are you just assuming that the pump is not delivering fuel to the injectors? Have you checked your fuel injector circuits for power and for injector pulse from the EngineControl Module? Have you scanned your Engine Control module to see if you possibly have a Crank Sensor or Cam Sensor problem?

The oil pressure switch only keeps the fuel pump running once the engine starts. The fuel pump should run for 2-3 seconds when you turn the ignition switch to the "Run" position to prime the injectors. The oil pressure switch is the problem only if the engine will not continue to run on its own after it starts up.

Car stalled at30mph and wont start back up

  • Cranks but no start condition-do below to determine whether it's fuel or spark issue:
  • Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
make sure it is getting enough gas pressure

Test: car won't start

does it crank but not start or does it just click like dead battery or starter if it cranks check for spark and fuel pull spark plug wire and insert a screw driver and hold it close to an engine ground and have someone try to crank the engine is there a strong spark and use what is called a noid light it plugs into the plug for the injectors to see if the injectors are pulsing it should blink when you try too too start the engine if you have pulse and spark check for fuel pressure there should be a service port on the fuel rail that looks like a valve stem for a tire sort of youll need a fuel pressure tester if you had no spark or pulse at tthe injectors its most likely either the cam sensor crank sensor or the computor(pcm) if only no spark change the coil if that doesnt work you might need an ignition module but that requires more testing I cant explain here see a technician if no fuel pressure remove fuel filter drain and attemp to blow air through it if you cant its clogged replace and try vehicle if no start still feul pump is bad replace pump .

hope this helped

Stalls while driving; wait 40 minutes it starts trhen stalls after 1/2 mile

you need to detemine if the problem is fuel (lack of) or ignition. Connect fuel pressure guage to fuel rail and drive and observe fuel prssure when it stalls out. if the fuel pressure stays within spec. then check for lost ign. spark and or injector pulse. If both spark and pulse are missing most likely you need a crank position sensor.
